Good. Here's a timeline of how mathematicians realized they were being "used" by frontier AI. In response, mathematicians have created an open source alternative to frontier models so that their work won't be stolen by frontier companies like OpenAI.

Someone speculated that OpenAI didn't release any math that dealt with cryptography, and that may be for a reason. They're keeping it for themselves. Sure enough, OpenAI models hacked a crypto wallet.

Meta to Literally Every Business User: Nice Website You Got There. Meta is going to impose terms that if you use one of their services, they have the right to scrape data off your website.
The update rolls out Oct. 30 and covers any website “associated with” any of a commercial user’s products or services (another sweeping claim). Meta defines commercial users as accounts that advertise, market, sell or list products, develop apps, create or use product catalogs, manage a Page or business Group, or use any business product, such as the Meta Business Suite, which lets companies manage all of their accounts from one console. One can imagine this would give Meta scraping rights to an impressive swathe of the open web.
Avoid using anything having to do with Meta. Except maybe their open source model Fuse Spark. But I'll be watching the terms of use.

Too bad. AI engineers became hot property. Now they’re targets for seduction. I previously posted how women now avoid AI engineers because of association with all the bad AI things they hear in the government. Now, when AI engineers find someone attracted to them, it might be a foreign national spy, like another Fang Fang. What a way to break a nerd's heart.
