Putting criminals in jail is not the answer.  How many times have we heard variations of this screed? The Multnomah County sheriff is saying something very similar, She won't arrest anyone violating city regulations. Even Ted Wheeler is unhappy with this.
And if someone abuses fentanyl, Multnomah County wants to do anything they can short of sending these criminals to jail. Bonham County is not buying it. Good for them.

And for the remaining businesses who choose to stay in Oregon, there is a proposition to take some of their profits and just give it away.  At least Tina Kotek says she opposes it, but she still thinks it "looks good on paper".

Liberal vs liberal. On one hand, you have Lefties who want to raise minimum wage to help the proletariat. On the other hand, you have Lefties who want to help workers keep their jobs, by letting tips be counted as part of the required minimum wage amount so that their businesses can stay afloat, and don't have to shut down. But the other Lefties will have none of that. They think that's cheating.  Don't you love it when Lefties get tangled up with the unforeseen consequences of their own actions?
