Five formulas to get wealthy.  Robert Kiyosaki has been saying this for years.  Just gunning for a higher salary isn't a guarantee of wealth, and even just retail investing won't cut it either.  I read pieces like this many years ago, and it was frustrating that the advice of the wealthy was more philosophical than "show me the way".  Advice like this only made sense in the rearview mirror.  But now I realize that it really is a mindset.  You really do have to think a certain way to achieve wealth.  You have to educate yourself, and be smart so that you know what risks are good to take, and to be of value to others.  It's not easy, which is why not everyone can be rich.  But you can train yourself.

This is what's wrong with expensive subsidized housing.  This is why you don't spend extra money to build nice stuff for people who don't earn it.  It turns to shit pretty quickly.  This is why New York City only restores older architecture, but the new stuff is just functional and plain, except in wealthy areas.  They already know that people in the city don't respect nice stuff, so they don't bother.  Portland, on the other hand, still thinks that everyone is just down on their luck and just needs a break.

Carbon Health is using A.I. to speed up doctor's medical record throughput.  But the doctor's won't get to enjoy the extra time they save.  Nope, it will allow them to see more patients!  And people's medical information will go through Amazon Web Services medical transcription facility which uses GPT-4.  Hope the privacy has been worked out.  My opinion FWIW: The technology we really need is not here yet.

Remember Usenet?  Why did it fail?  It wasn't because of moderation or reputation.  The user interface was fine for what the geeks wanted.  I liked that fact that you had to have some techie knowledge to get on to the system.  That kept the system more restricted to techies and geeks.  We loved it.  No crap from influencers and their ilk.  And it was decentralized, so you didn't have to see woke crap and virtual signaling like you have with modern social media.  Reddit was getting to be a Usenet replacement, but it started to have woke managers, and blocked free speech.  I got banned from a subreddit for posting a study urging caution for the mRNA products.  That would have never happened in the Usenet world.
